 I resist change and sleep too much than is good for me. Some days I don't get out of bed at all. Some nights I don't go to sleep. Instead, I spend my time wondering about the world in thousands of years from now and drawing things that make no sense. I love lying in the sunshine and singing in the shower. Photography is the essence of beauty; making everyday objects shine and sparkle like lost treasures. I believe in innocence and vulnerability; white dresses, curls and boy's pants. Some days I dress up as my own super hero; washing up gloves, bright orange shorts and a blindfolds with the eyes cut out. I run around the garden like Batman; my dog as my sidekick, my Robin, and pretend I can change the world. I have big hopes and even bigger dreams; an astronaut on a voyage to Jupiter, a princess waiting in the tower for her prince, a fairy with wings and a tiara that sparkle like stars, an artist with a point to prove. I want to draw and record every second of my life in my journal; scribbling down the slightest smile, the knowing looks, the secret triumphs. I want to be able to breathe. I want to be able to fly. Bruises are beautiful; pain is freedom. Sometimes I drink too much and cry so hard that my heart breaks in two. I have an unabated crush on Elvis. I like to snuggle in front of the television when it's cold and I love eating donuts and cookies and other sweet-tasting things. I want to turn into a vampire, and fall in vampire-love. One day, I swear I'm going to become a pirate. I want to have a meth-fueled affair with a rockstar. One day I felt like I suffered from too much empathy so I turned my heart off and pretended not to care. The next day I woke up; forgot to remember to stop, and my heart turned to ice. I'll spend the next one hundred years desperately trying to thaw it out. I've no idea who I am, or what I wish to be. I'm just a girl waiting to be dazzled by the world. visit my etsy shop:  |
